Meet Brother David Crank--OFM Liaison

The Franciscan Alumni Association welcomed David to the Board on October 28th, 2000.  He replaced Fr. Pat McCloskey as Provincial Liaison.  That means he keeps us informed of happenings in the Franciscan provinces, writes articles for our newsletter, and helps with the annual reunion.

David is a superb speaker and could easily be a DJ or talk show host if he weren't answering a higher vocation.  A biographical outline follows, because you're probably dying to get to know him.  There's more truth in that statement than you might suspect.  Read on.

David currently serves as Province Administrator and Director of the Office for Senior Friars of St. John the Baptist Franciscan Province.

In addition, he is a pastoral care counselor, counseling individuals, families and support groups.  He has designed and prepared liturgies, daily prayers, days of recollection and retreats for a high school community.

David has been involved in outreach and case management for chronic mentally ill adults in the local community and hospitals.

He's also been a physical, psycho/social, hospital chaplain, providing pastoral counseling for the Gay/Lesbian, HIV-challenged and terminally ill community, families and friends. He lived and worked in an inner city Franciscan community and has experience in Case Study Seminars, Group Dynamics, Supportive and Crisis Counseling.

Lastly, he counsels individuals and families regarding funeral services (pre/post and at-need).
